I don't have a problem with horror comedies being included, but in a top ten list of horror films for all time? Most of those comedies wouldn't exist without far better films giving them their inspiration. I'm a fan of Shaun of the Dead, as well as Zombieland, but neither deserve to be on this list. Or at least in the top ten...

Thank you for reviewing “Beyond the Black Rainbow”, Mike. I
was getting ready to leave my office at DISH for the afternoon on Friday, when
I went online to look for a movie to rent. If I rent a move online before I
leave, it’s ready to watch from my Hopper DVR by the time I walk in the door. I
agree that this movie is a trip, but it certainly isn’t for everyone. While
visually enticing, the story is very hard to follow. I would recommend that
people see this film, but they may want to stream it before they run out and
buy it.

Yeah I don't expect anything too original or new, although it sounds like they took some liberties with the original story. And Charlize Theron's basically always awesome, so maybe my original reaction to the movie was unwaranted. I guess I'll find out soon ;)

It's a pretty fun film. The blu-ray is great, the story isn't entirely original, but what would we be expecting with Snow White, anyway? For a date night movie I think it's a good balance of things for him and things for her.

That was a good review. I haven’t seen Snow White and the
Huntsman yet and wanted to get a feel for how much I’m going to suffer. I
refused to pay theater prices to see it, but my girlfriend wants it to be our
movie-night movie, so I put it in my Blockbuster @Home queue. I have to admit
though, after seeing the visual style, reading your review, and hearing one of
my coworkers at Dish talk about it, I’m almost tempted to buy it. I used to
spend way too much money doing that though, and renting with Blockbuster @Home
is just a flat monthly fee, even with Blu-Rays. So I’ll just leave it in my
queue and rent it.

Looks good. I like Walter Coggins, who was really good in "Justified." I swear in the preview I thought I saw Christopher Guest dressed up in white as a Colonel Sanders looking plantation owner, but he does not appear to be in it. I might have mistaken Christoph Waltz as the 6 Fingered Man.

I saw the Black Swan on a trip down to Memphis, and surprised at how
good it was. Lots of psychological creepiness (her mom, her
hallucinations, her feet, etc.). Its a good one!
